How to apply?

Grant Applications are accepted by the Blair Area Community Foundation once a year. The deadline for applications is October 1. All submissions are reviewed and final notification is given to applicants by December 1. The amount of grant money available each year is determined by the contributions that the Foundation received from the community during the previous year.

2017 Grants – $30,000 Total

  • Blair Area Chamber of Commerce – $300 – Walkie-talkie radios for community events
  • Blair DI (Destination Imagination) – $650 – Team competition entries
  • Blair Family YMCA – $3,750.00 – Equipment for new community training room
  • Blair Optimist Club / Blair High School Post Prom¬†– $3,000 – Laptops for post prom event
  • Blair Youth Softball Association – $2,500.00 – Purchase of new refrigerators or freezers
  • Camp Fontanelle – $2,000.00 – Purchase of tables in the dining hall/meeting area
  • Good Shepherd Lutheran Community – $3,800.00 – Mobile extremity whirlpool
  • Joseph’s Coat – $3,400 – I VF 49 Series Freezer
  • Memorial Community Hospital Foundation – $3,250 – Towards 3D mammography machine
  • Relay for Life of Washington County¬†– $350 – Banners to promote Relay for Life event
  • Village of Kennard – $1,500 – Towards pavilion improvements
  • Washington County Friends of the Fair – $5,000.00 – Towards ADA restroom improvements
  • Washington County Performing Arts Association¬†– $500 – Purchase rights to perform plays
